HERE'S HOW
IT WORKS.
During and after the pandemic, our friends, neighbors and guests spoke and we listened. Food service became the focal point, and a line of 9 people in a group ordering individually at the bar wasn't working. So we made the big change to table service, and we try to make it a nice, relaxed, fun experience for y'all. Here's how it works.
SEATING & SERVICE
FAQ for a bar? Y'all are lames.
We promise we're not being big meanies. We have a very small kitchen, and we want everybody to relax and get their food in a timely manner.
Our building went up in the 1800s, so it was never set up for Chuy's style restaurant seating. We're just working with the rooms we've got, and want to serve you the best we can.
Do you have table service?
Yes. We're full table service now. A host will seat you, and your server takes care of food and drinks from there.
If you seat yourself, we won't know, and you will think we suck because we are ignoring you. Just stay away from dirty tables and let us pamper you with a clean table.
And of course if there's room, you can always sit at the bar.
Do you take reservations?
We don't, sorry. We still try to keep the neighborhood pub feel, and we don't have the software or infrastructure to run an effective reservation system.
If it's a really important event, book the Flamingo Lounge. If we're already booked, there are tons of local awesome Cincinnati mom and pops with private rooms you can reserve for a large party. The Queen City also has a ton of great breweries with large format seating, food and bar service. They're set up and staffed for this, so you won't have to worry about a thing. Just ask and we'll send you a list of our favorites.
That being said, we will always try our best to accommodate you and your family and friends, even if that means pushing some smaller tables into bigger tables or shuffling chairs around.
How many people can sit at one table?
We can seat groups no larger than 10 at one table. Larger groups are welcome, but we don't have Oktoberfest tables that seat tons of people. If you come with a large group, we will find a place for you to sit.
It's an old building with a small kitchen, and keeping tables at 10 or under is how we make sure your food comes out on time. It's also how many people you can physically cram around one of our large tables.

We'd love to have all of you. There are two ways to do it: sit at more than one table, or rent the party room.
Can you hold a couple of tables for us?
Sorry, we can't. It's not because we're jerks, we're just first come, first served. Since we can't take reservations, we can't hold tables either.
If you need a guaranteed spot for a crowd, renting the party room is the way to go, and we'd be happy to set you up. Otherwise, the earlier you get here the better, or be ready to sit at tables next to each other instead of one giant Hogwarts table.

It's called the Flamingo Lounge. Room for 50, tables and chairs for up to 25 seated, a pool table, and your own server/bartender. Details and rates are on the Private Events page.
VEGAN, VEGGIE & GLUTEN FREE
Do you have vegan and vegetarian options?
Tons. We have a separate Vegan, Veggie, and Gluten Free Menu, so just ask your server for one.
Highlights: the Beyond Burger, the Tofu Bun Mi, Vegan Cauliflower Wings, and the Veggie Tijuana Caesar. The burger, Bun Mi and Caesar can all be made vegan, and so can our Creature Fries and Mac N Cheese. Fresh cut fries, lightly fried broccoli and frickles are vegan as is. You can add lightly fried tofu to the fries or a salad too.
Vegan sauces: vegan ranch, vegan spicy aioli, bbq, sesame ginger and vegan caesar. We also run a dedicated vegetarian fryer.
What can I eat if I'm gluten free?
Plenty. We have a separate Gluten Free Menu too, so ask your server.
Ask for any sandwich on a bed of chopped romaine to make it gluten free. Our smoked wings are gluten free and so are all of our wing sauces. There's a Gluten Free Tijuana Caesar, plus fresh cut fries, lightly fried broccoli, frickles and MawMaw June's potato salad.
Nothing on the gluten free menu has flour or breadcrumbs. The wings get a five spice rub, the tofu and frickles get cornstarch, and the broccoli goes in naked.
Is the fryer gluten free?
We have a dedicated veggie and gluten free fryer, but our oil is filtered 5 to 6 times a day, so we can't 100% guarantee it stays completely gluten free. If you have celiac or an extreme allergy, skip the fried stuff just to be completely safe.
The owner has been gluten free for 22 years, so he gets the struggle.
Do you have nuts in the kitchen?
Nope. Our kitchen is nut and peanut free, and nothing we cook contains either. The one exception is our peanut butter tequila, which we infuse in the prep kitchen and never bring to the line.
