ABOUT NSYC
The Northside Yacht Club is the nautical-inspired spawn of two of Cincinnati’s most well known rock ’n roll, cocktail comrades, Jon Weiner and Stuart MacKenzie.
NSYC combines three passions: delicious, rustic food, handcrafted drinks and local libations. All are welcome.
The name for this one of a kind gastro-pub/club was inspired by old photos the pair came across, from the great flood of 1937. Seeing the Northside residents happily floating down the street in small rowboats, was the tying piece of inspiration they needed to complete the concept.
Conveying the light hearted attitudes of both Jon and Stuart, the atmosphere of the bar was sure to include the history of the building, and the neighborhood.
Together, with the help of their childhood friends, family, and bandmates, NSYC has been given a complete overhaul.
ABOUT OUR FOOD
We curate a menu of house-smoked meats and produce, with no artificial or processed ingredients. With a state of the art “Cadillac of Smokers,” we use a precise “slow and low” method of smoking wings and other foods. All the fries are handcut daily, and we boast that the kitchen has neither a microwave or freezer. Everything is cooked to order and served fresh. With vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free selections available, we aim to please all folks, including those with dietary restrictions.

ABOUT OUR BOOZE
While you can still grab a can of PBR to throw at the band, Jon and Stuart have turned a decade worth of combined time behind the bar, into a carefully curated experience at NSYC. A seasonal cocktail menu focuses on simple, classic recipes with locally sourced ingredients. The suds also have a large local presence on the menu, working closely with many of the neighborhood breweries in Cincinnati for many craft beer options. And what kind of place would NSYC be, without a collection of the pair’s favorite bourbons and tiki classics!
